  • The “Project Management Simulation Workshop” is an intensive two-day capstone course that builds on the foundational knowledge and case studies explored throughout the Modern Project Management Program. This workshop focuses on the execution phase of projects, offering hands-on experience with real-world scenarios.

    Using a comprehensive case study as the foundation, participants engage in activities that highlight the challenges and strategic decisions inherent in managing complex projects. Designed to bridge theory and practice, this workshop equips attendees with the practical skills needed to effectively address and navigate real-world project complexities.

Day 1
    • Refining Project Artifacts: Teams will build upon and expand the project artifacts developed in earlier courses, focusing on integrating deliverables across both traditional and Agile frameworks.
    • Governance Development: Teams will finalize the governance structure for the project, ensuring alignment and clarity for both frameworks.
      • Execution and Sprints:
        Teams will execute the traditional project plan while running sprints to develop product backlog items, blending methodologies to deliver results effectively.

      • Scenario-Based Problem Solving:
        Teams will tackle various scenarios, developing:

        • A problem statement
        • An impact statement
        • Recommendations to address each issue

        Sample Scenarios Include:

        • Leadership changing scope and deliverables.
        • Managing resource constraints and changes.
        • Clarifying leadership roles and responsibilities as Sponsor and Product Owner.
        • Addressing team motivation and leadership challenges.
        • Handling vendor and contractor issues.
        • Managing disruptions, resetting baselines, and restarting sprints.
